Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a Shafino Wildlife Safaris representative. You’ll transfer to your selected midrange lodge or hotel in Arusha to relax, settle in, and prepare for the incredible adventure ahead.

After breakfast, we journey to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5-hour drive), a dry-season haven for elephants, giraffes, hartebeests, lions, leopards, and an astonishing array of birds. This park is famous for its monumental baobab trees and the life-giving Tarangire River.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. In the evening, we head to Karatu for overnight rest.

Today we drive through the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy views of the vast Ngorongoro Crater before descending into the endless Serengeti plains, where you’ll encounter herds of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes — and possibly catch a glimpse of the Great Migration.
We overnight at a comfortable tented camp in the central Serengeti (or another Serengeti location, depending on the migration season).

After breakfast, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to one of the densest concentrations of large mammals in Africa. Spot wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, lions, elephants, hippos, hyenas, and — if you’re lucky — black rhinos.
After a full afternoon of wildlife viewing, we drive back to Karatu for your overnight stay.

On your last safari day, we visit Lake Manyara National Park, a gem known for its diverse birdlife (including flamingos), dense forests, baboons, elephants, and tree-climbing lions.
